Welcome back to Strong & Courageous. Drama has a way of pulling us in. It starts with a comment, a text, a rumor, or a side conversation—and suddenly we’re right in the middle of it.
Matthew 5:9 says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.”
Jesus calls us to something different. Instead of adding to drama, He calls us to bring peace. Being a peacemaker doesn’t mean you pretend nothing is wrong. It means you choose how you respond.
Drama grows when we repeat stories, take sides too quickly, or react without listening. Peace grows when we pause, pray, and choose words that don’t make things worse.
Choosing peace over drama can look like not repeating something you heard.
It can look like staying out of conversations that tear people down.
It can look like going directly to the person instead of talking about them.
It can look like walking away from situations that don’t bring peace.
It’s not always the easiest choice—but it is the wiser one.
Strong and courageous people choose peace over drama.
