Good morning, friends! Welcome back to Strong and Courageous. Today, I want to tell you about two sisters named Mary and Martha.
In Luke 10, Jesus went to their house. Martha was super busy cooking, cleaning, and getting everything ready. But Mary sat at Jesus’ feet, listening to Him. Martha got frustrated and asked Jesus to tell Mary to help. But Jesus said, ‘Martha, Martha, you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her.’
Sometimes we can get so busy—school, sports, homework, even fun stuff like video games or hanging out with friends. But Jesus reminds us the most important thing is spending time with Him—praying, reading His Word, and just being still. Like Mary, we need to stop and listen to Jesus.
