Hey friends! Today I want to tell you a story from the Bible about a woman who couldn’t stop looking back.
God was about to destroy two very wicked cities called Sodom and Gomorrah because of all the evil happening there. But before it happened, He sent two angels to rescue a man named Lot and his family.
The angels told them, “Hurry! Run for your lives! Don’t look back!” So Lot, his wife, and their daughters started running toward safety. But as they were leaving, Lot’s wife turned around to look back at the city — even though God said not to.
And in that moment, she turned into a pillar of salt.
She didn’t trust God’s command. Maybe she missed her old life or just couldn’t let go. But looking back kept her from the future God had planned.
Sometimes we do the same thing — we keep looking back at the past. Maybe it’s a mistake we made, a friendship that changed, or a situation we can’t stop thinking about.
But God is calling us forward. He has new things, better things, waiting for us.
When we focus too much on what’s behind us, we can miss what’s ahead. You can’t move forward while your heart is stuck in the past.
So whatever God has asked you to leave behind — trust Him and don’t look back.
