TFG1Mike and David Draper continue their new Columbo series with the second episode, following Lieutenant Columbo as he investigates the murder of a wealthy man staged as a kidnapping by his ruthless lawyer wife, Leslie Williams. They discuss the shift from the previous episode's theatrical feel to more television-focused pacing, Dean Hargrove's teleplay work, Peter Falk's brilliant character performance, and the clever ways Colombo uses small details and the stepdaughter to crack the case.
