Mike and Dave discuss Season 2, Episode 5 of Columbo, where the detectives investigate the death of a young actress's assistant. This episode plays with the show's traditional formula, featuring a twist where Columbo realizes mid-investigation that the glamorous former starlet is the actual killer—not by accident, as initially believed. The hosts explore how the episode uses misdirection around a deflated tire and a Shriner's ring to keep the audience guessing, and praise Peter Falk's emotional performance when he discovers the identity of the murderer.
