During childhood, my parents would often remark that my sister and I were as different as chalk and cheese. "And I'm the tastier one!", would be my instantaneous response.
Siblings are weird. They are somehow your worst enemy and your best friend rolled into one. They can be your complete opposite and yet, no one knows you better than they do, and that is precisely why they know exactly where, how and when to press your buttons so you are annoyed beyond measure. That is not to say that sibling relationships are not fraught with tension, negative emotions or even resentment.
But that's what makes this relationship special. If you are fortunate enough to share a special bond with your sibling, then you know that irrespective of the challenge, you will overcome it together, and there is no one in the entire Multiverse that could fill their shoes - they are your special person, and you are theirs - a fact that remains unchanged for eternity.
