Many people write in a journal or simply write their thoughts on their computer. It acts as their therapist or even a best friend where they can express their thoughts and fears with no fear of judgment. It is a form of release.
Writing gives you an opportunity to “listen to yourself”. You can sit in a quiet space and let whatever thoughts want to come out emerge. You will discover how you really think about things if you give yourself time to reflect on situations.
Writing also awakens the intuitive process which comes from your heart. The more you are in touch with your emotions, the more you will understand the mind-body connection.
Writing can also be incredibly healing because you are going within to hear your thoughts and feelings. Although sharing with a friend or partner can be very helpful, there are times we simply don’t share our deepest emotions and writing allows us this opportunity.
