Description

Roxanne Martinez is a trustee for the Fort Worth Independent School District, representing the Diamond Hill community. She recently sat down with attorney Ty Stimpson to talk about growing up in Diamond Hill, why she is so invested in her tight-knit community, and how she overcame life's biggest challenges.#roxannemartinez #tystimpson #takethisdownRoxanne was driven to affect change at a young age, especially after losing three classmates to gang violence in middle school. A first-generation college student, she attended the University of Florida on a scholarship and took advantage of all the opportunities higher education had to offer. She returned to Diamond Hill to invest her education, experience, and leadership back into the community and children she loves. While climbing the career ladder, Roxanne was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer while pregnant with her first child. She ended up losing her job and her insurance. If she survived, Roxanne vowed to "live out her purpose" and help others navigate their darkest days - and that is exactly what she is doing. After she beat cancer, Roxanne spent countless hours serving on numerous nonprofit organizations, civic boards, and action committees, working to bring health, education, and mental health resources to the community, especially to youth. In 2021, she was elected trustee of District 9, which serves her beloved Diamond Hill community.Don't miss this episode of "Take the Down With Ty Stimpson".Varghese Summersett Injury Law Group https://versusinjury.com/@versusinjury
