Answering the call of greatness will always cost you something. We will have to go against the status quo and employ discipline in the face of adversities. The person who is called to greatness has to be careful not to indulge in what everyone else is indulging in. The call of greatness require consecration and discipline. In this week's episode we looked at a few people who were called to greatness from the Bible; Daniel and Esther. Though Daniel was not raised in a palace, his gifts brought him favour and in the place of royalty but this did not change Daniel's character, discipline or reverence for God. He stood firm in what and WHO he believed in. This small act of obedience allowed for Daniel to be chosen above all the other boys who were indulging in that which could not sustain them. We also looked at Esther, a class act and heroine in the Bible. Even though Esther was beautiful and classy, it is safe to say that she was also a warrior in the Spirit. She didn't allow her beauty and charm to get in the way of her purpose and destiny. When she learned of the impending danger of her people, she fought back with strategic fasting and prayer, which propelled her to face the king without an appointment. The life of these people truly serve as encouragement for us today. We too can employ similar discipline and courage. I hope this week's episode is a blessing to you.
