This week we will be taking a look at the “The Fleeing Faith (of Jonah)” It’s time for a new installment of the “Gumbo Faith Series (It’s not where faith starts)”. This week we will be taking a look at the “The Fleeing Faith (of Jonah)” --Do you know many times in our lives, or at least at some point in our lives, we all have found ourselves fleeing from something, somewhere or someone? It could be you are fleeing from a bad relationship, a situation, or an assignment from GOD (add your own fleeing circumstance). We all, if we are honest, have fled from a situation or circumstances that we deemed necessary to flee from. We aren’t questioning the veracity of it; we are just bringing it to light that we all have found ourselves in flight mode at one time or another in our lives. But what I’ve discovered is this-- the worst thing one can do is flee from GOD, fleeing from HIS assignment, HIS command or just from HIS presence. Can I say fleeing from GOD will take you down paths and roads GOD never intended for you to go down or travel on and aren’t places you ever thought you’d be. Simply stated fleeing from GOD can/will take you places you don’t want to go, keep you there longer than you want to stay and cost you more than you want to pay. We pray that this reaches and meets you right where you are, knowing that many are dealing with this very faith topic. Amen.
