Emotional Intelligence is the action of allowing the emotion or feeling to pass through you, then making the conscious choice to react with focused thought. The emotions and feelings you have in that moment are very real, however they can be manipulated by the ego and keep you in a reactionary mode. In the podcast, we covered lowering our stress levels as well as how to vent off negative energy with pressure built up from the past. Slowing down, reprioritizing our time and what we give our energy to is key. How can we be of service to ourselves and others if we are highly stressed and on edge? Slowing down gives us the ability to breathe while we construct a new perspective on what truly brings meaning and value to our lives. We must prioritize ourselves with alone time to process the past and our daily lives.
