An author, entrepreneur, inspirational and educational speaker, you could say that Steven has a passion for life and helping others.
However, that wasn’t how his life started out.
Being abandoned by his mother at an early age, and growing up in a very abusive and poverty environment, Steven found his way to drugs and alcoholism early in life.
By the time he entered his late teens, he was no stranger to trouble nor law enforcement.
By the age of 21, he was completely entrenched in the criminal lifestyle and found his way off to prison for the first time to serve a 3-year sentence.
When he got out at the age of 24, Steven was still lost in a world of addiction and found himself back in prison, this time to serve a sentence of 22 years for nonviolent drug crimes and with no hope of any kind for a real future.
But Jesus had a different plan, which left Steven radically saved and born again in 2003.
It is at that moment that Steven started to work on himself and turn his life around … transforming from a drug addict to a drug and alcohol counselor so he could help others find a better path to life.
Since his release in February 2022, he has been a featured guest speaker at colleges across the United States and has been a guest on over a dozen podcasts telling his story across the world, in hopes of helping others get clean and heal from past traumas and abuse.
He recently was interviewed for an exclusive on 25 NEWS in Peoria, IL and is currently editing the original manuscript of his life story, “Extraordinary Solitude”.
Steven has even started his own business, Jesus Speaks, LLC - the LLC standing for Life, Liberty and Christianity - to put more inspirational scripture into people’s homes.
