A former Air Force Major turned CEO, Bob has seen his fair share of combats through the years, from flying eleven combat missions during Operation Desert Storm to serving as a navigator and Air Force Academy Liaison Officer.
For over 30 years, Bob has dealt with the impact of his service and has firsthand experience with the gaps in veteran care.
Since his transition from military service to civilian life, Bob has concentrated on the medical device industry, where he has started five new companies and sold two.
From 2002, his verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business has sold over $750 million in healthcare products to the VA and military hospitals all over the world.
Today, Bob is the CEO, founder, and owner of Alliant Healthcare Products, Alliant Biotech, and Medisurge – the Alliant Family of Companies located in Grand Rapids, MI.
His foundation, The Patriot Promise™ Foundation was created to help drive down suicides among veterans and provide a clear path to a purpose-filled life after service.
The foundation establishes non-profit ventures, ran 100% by veterans.
Bob has made it his mission to offer veterans the ability to learn new skills in the workplace while also learning how to enhance their lives overall.
“From Service to Success” is the cornerstone of his foundation and the goal of The Patriot Promise® to guide veterans in their search for a new mission, purpose and to lead them on a journey to a great life.
