Hey, y'all! I hope all of you are doing so well and are showing yourselves love and grace, especially during these times. In today's diary entry I wanted to reflect on today, June 24th, a day that will go down in history. Today, the case Roe v. Wade was overturned and to say that this overturn has rocked the nation would be an understatement. In this entry, I wanted to do due diligence to women and children, especially children and I wanted to reflect on how this changes everything. How it now contributes further to our toxic legal system and power structures, as well as how it now affects the amount of children in the foster care system and the most prominent subjects, women. My intention was not for this entry to come off as a rant, but as a space that I am holding conversation with myself and y'all for reflection on something that affects not only me as a Black woman, but so many other women. I do want to apologize in advance for the awkwardly long pauses(and little mouth sounds that you probably can't really hear, but of course I can🙄) I was trying to articulate myself while trying to organize my scattered brain, so please bear with me, lol. I hope that you all enjoy this week's diary entry and I hope that y'all stay well and in thee best spirits🤎 I love you all, happy listening!🎧
