This story is from the Anikara People related to the Lakota who live in the northern plains in the United States and in the southern plains of Canada. This story starts with a portion of their emergence story and I have merged with it the Sharing Corn story. This is a wonderful story to use to introduce the 4 directions, sharing bounty of the harvest, and the concept that everyone has a calling if they just listen to their still quiet voice. Enjoy!
