In this episode I am joined by Rob, Dad of 2. The thing for me that shines through in this episode is family values, and how they play such a big part in Rob's parenting. As you listen it will become obvious how Rob has come from a family with such strong values and this is why. We talk about how Rob feels judged quite alot in his parenting because of the boundaries he sets or maybe doesn't set for his children but how these boundaries that he has set from his children being young are now paying off. Find out why Rob's son has a Nokia 3310, or maybe the question all us 90's kids want to know the answer to- where did he get a Nokia 3310 from?!! We talk lots about phone use and Rob tells us how much he dislikes it and how dangerous they can be. We talk about how Rob worries about the impact of him being self employed on his family, how he's felt that he might be missing out on things and how other people's, what are most probably innocent, comments can really affect him and make him question should he be doing more. Rob talks about the people who influenced his life growing up and the values he wants to pass on to not just his sons but other young people around him too. We talk about relationships; How different things can put pressure on your relationship with your other half and how Rob and his wife have stuck together and built their family together- through a mutual understanding and respect. Another honest conversation about parenting!
