Description

This week Tawny and Maria are joined by Heather; a woman Maria met when they were just teenagers. After many years apart, they reconnected and established a friendship. The women discuss growing up in Kensington and how differently the neighborhood has become over the years; as well as the pros and cons of being the youngest sibling in a large family. Heather became a stepmother at just 22 years old and she talks about how falling in love changed what she thought her life would look like. Since Heather attended Catholic school her whole life, she weighs in on how it shaped the person she is for the better, while Tawny and Maria have a different perspective on how being Catholic shaped them and their opinions about religion. They also discuss the difficulties of breaking ties with toxic family members. How do you create boundaries that feel good when you've been forced to give grace to family?
