Description

Lauren Miller is a licensed massage therapist, licensed physical therapist assistant, and personal trainer with over 13 years of experience. Her journey began by training her friends, then she worked at a big box gym and a private training studio before going to massage therapy school. She then worked at a chiropractor's office and returned to Beyond Limits for massage and training. Lauren then attended physical therapist assistant school but found she wasn't passionate about outpatient clinical work. She then found her home at The Human Form, where she provides massage therapy, performance therapy, coaches groups, and trains clients. On this episode of P2 Podcast, we explore the complicated world of massage therapy, physical training, and coaching. Lauren shares her experiences and perspectives on how massage therapy can be useful for both physical and psychological health. We also discuss common misconceptions about massage therapy, the importance of communication between therapist and client, and the effectiveness of using a placebo effect. Additionally, we discuss the role that coaches and practitioners play in providing advice and guidance to clients and how it can impact their training and progress.
