Description

Joey and Zach begin their final episode of the semester with analysis of the Celtics-Bucks series, prior to Game 5 in Boston (2:05). After that, Joey updates the audience on how the Bruins-Hurricanes series has unraveled and what is at stake in Thursday night’s Game 6 showdown (14:23). Then, he touches on Stellwagen softball’s recent outing on Monday night (18:28) and the Red Sox’s Monday night victory against the Braves (20:56). He explains why the Sox have been failing to close out games and why the starting pitching has not been the issue. Following that, he provides coverage on Northeastern baseball winning seven of their last eight games, including Tuesday’s huge victory at #13 UConn (28:41). To finish out the episode, Everett High football head coach, Rob DiLoreto, joins the show as a guest to talk about the prestigious and highly regarded program (35:25). He discusses the school’s pipeline to BC with former BC star Lukas Denis and current BC defensive back Jason Maitre leading the charge for two new Everett commits. Coach gives insight into Everett High’s continuous success and what goes into building the top of the line program, from off-season workouts to creating a family culture. At the end, Coach DiLoreto dives into NU Huskies baseball (59:40) and what it has been like to attend every game this season, including his son’s 4-for-5 performance against Hofstra. It was an honor for Joey to have the opportunity to talk with such a standup and admirable individual about Northeastern and the cream of the high school football crop, the Everett Crimson Tide.

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to listen in, call-in, come on as a guest, and follow along every week. It means a lot to both of us and we really appreciate it.
