Prior to his passing, members of our team had the privilege of visiting Dr. Walter Zent to discuss his achievements as an equine reproduction veterinarian. As a 1963 graduate of Cornell University’s School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Zent joined the Hagyard family as an associate in 1965 after shadowing field care veterinarian, Dr. Ed Fallon. He remained a valued member of our practice for over 50 years and was an integral part of the development of the McGee Fertility Center, as well as a mentor who shaped many equine veterinarians into the practitioners we recognize today.Dr. Zent remains a cherished member of the Hagyard family.
