Shokti is an Awakener and Explorer of Spirit and Consciousness since 1995.
We talked about transformation and awakening through adversity, in Shokti's journey this was through their HIV diagnosis and AIDS related illnesses. Confronted with the possibility of death at the age of 30 they experienced a complete dissolution of everything they believed about life, of who they thought they were and why we exist.
Shokti is also a historian who has written a number of books - most recently from Aids to Eternity avaialable from.
We explore some of the history of the role of the Queer in the spirirtual practices of our collective cultures.
