Abram was a great man of God, with a very real problem, He had no heir, Greatness is supposed to reproduce, but God gave him a promise, his seed would be like the starts of the sky, numberless. He also told him before this happened to change his name, call yourself Abraham Father of many nations, in essence, start calling yourself something that you're currently not. Is this biblical, it certainly is. We serve a God that calls those things that be not, as though they were and he is expecting us to act the same.
