In this episode we begin our series on Everyday Winners by looking at the life of Noah. Noah is a man who fellowshipped with God at a time when he was the only one following God. He completely obeyed God even though he was the only one and received persecution. His faith and obedience affected his entire family and the world.
Hebrews 11:7 (ERV) - "Noah was warned by God about things that he could not yet see. But he had faith and respect for God, so he built a large boat to save his family. With his faith, Noah showed that the world was wrong. And he became one of those who are made right with God through faith."
Genesis 6:5-22 (NLT)
2 Peter 2:5 (NIV) - "If he did not spare the ancient world when he brought the flood on its ungodly people, but protected Noah, a preacher of righteousness, and seven others"
Matthew 7:13-14 (NCV) - "Enter through the narrow gate. The gate is wide and the road is wide that leads to hell, and many people enter through that gate. But the gate is small and the road is narrow that leads to true life. Only a few people find that road."
Genesis 9: 7-17 (NLT) - "Now be fruitful and multiply, and repopulate the earth.” Then God told Noah and his sons, “I hereby confirm my covenant with you and your descendants, and with all the animals that were on the boat with you—the birds, the livestock, and all the wild animals—every living creature on earth. Yes, I am confirming my covenant with you. Never again will floodwaters kill all living creatures; never again will a flood destroy the earth.” Then God said, “I am giving you a sign of my covenant with you and with all living creatures, for all generations to come. I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my covenant with you and with all the earth. When I send clouds over the earth, the rainbow will appear in the clouds, and I will remember my covenant with you and with all living creatures. Never again will the floodwaters destroy all life. When I see the rainbow in the clouds, I will remember the eternal covenant between God and every living creature on earth.” Then God said to Noah, “Yes, this rainbow is the sign of the covenant I am confirming with all the creatures on earth.”
James 2:26 (AMPC) - "For as the human body apart from the spirit is lifeless, so faith apart from [its] works of obedience is also dead."
