Description

In this episode, we explore the notion of giving unto Caesar what is due him and to God what is required Him. This dual, mutually exclusive allegiance to temporal and spiritual things has its roots in the historic financial system beginning in the days of Moses when the tithing system was instituted, up until the current fiat and digital economy built on taxes, securitization, and blockchain technology, where "you shall own nothing and be happy." Meeks tries to briefly but carefully demonstrate that the love of money found in the geopolitical, dollar-denominated financial system is the root of evil. Yet as the global citizen knowingly or ignorantly abdicates their sovereignty to corporate governments and financial institutions, then it follows that they should indeed pay the piper a.k.a fill Caesar's coffers, despite how onerously and violently that money and debt is expended. But if they instead choose common law practice and personal responsibility in building God's house, then theirs is the Kingdom of heaven.
