In this pod, Meeks bakes up a S.W.O.T - Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats - Analysis framework for the summer. In doing so, he recalls how Microsoft Bill Gates envisioned leveraging his co-founder's strengths because he understood his weaknesses. Attention being the new social currency, it may be prudent to outsource those interpersonal skills if their lacking, as did Bill with Paul Allen and Steve Ballmer (his respective no. 2 and 30 Microsoft hires). The point is that we must be humble enough to evaluate where we bring the most value and also hedge our blind spots through faith, books, mentors, the great reformers, and the like. This thoughtful solo approach to the SWOT Analysis will prove to be the wise move for the summer as it particularly relates to relationships and business.
