Watching Tim build a hugely successful company over the past couple of years has been so fulfilling. It was fascinating to learn how Tim’s early passion for public policy transformed into founding a tech startup based in public policy. Working on the Obama campaign at a young age influenced Tim’s later journey into entrepreneurship and policymaking. Tim talked about how all people essentially want the same things: good schools, the tools to live a prosperous life, and to see that hard work pays off. I never knew how the public policy process goes so much deeper than most people realize, and how pre-planning helps ensure that policy can overcome blockers like contradictory laws, differing political parties, and misinformation. This was such a fulfilling and exciting conversation.
