I loved my conversation with Sylvie. She is a dynamic individual and woman. One of the main things I noticed was how she does not let opportunities go to waste. When presented with the opportunity to fulfill her lifelong dream of moving to America, Sylvie did not hesitate. Another thing I learned about Sylvie was how she recognizes that perception can trick us. While on the surface, certain people might feel like the perfect fit for a job or task, they might actually be the totally wrong fit for it and underperform in the role. When Sylvie realized this, she went down a pathway exploring human behavior and psychology that eventually led her to where she is today. More than anything, Sylvie stressed how a first impression can make or break a relationship. If people get a bad read on you initially, they'll keep looking for ways to confirm their biases even when they're not necessarily accurate. Sylvie has an insatiable curiosity that will continue to drive her forward toward great things.
