In 1989 a woman was attacked and sexually assaulted in Central Park in Manhattan. The attack would leave her near death and the public outcry against the five youth arrested for the brutal assault was strong. Battle lines were drawn and the city was divided due to the races of those involved. After serving their time, a new suspect emerged and DNA would prove he was responsible for the sexual assault. A serious of lawsuits and reports were filed in the aftermath and the outcome is still debated to this day. Listen along as we tackle the case of the Central Park Five.
