In the early morning hours of July 9, 1995, Mary K Ross was asleep in her bed when two men attacked her with knives, stabbing her 16 times and ending her life. The investigation would reveal she gave safe harbor to a friend who was escaping an abusive husband. That man took it upon himself to hire two other men to kill Mary in retaliation for assisting his estranged wife.
