Welcome back to everyone! Happy New Year!
The first regular episode of 2023 brings us two stories, one from 1832 Philadelphia and the other from 2021 Atlanta.
Duffy's Cut is known for being the location of the unnatural and mysterious deaths of 57 Irish laborers, and Bailey will explain the lore as well as the newly-revealed truths that paint a clearer picture of what happened in Malvern, 30 miles west of Philadelphia.
Beth has a survivor story from Atlanta, with the story of Valerie Kasper. Valerie was a pregnant mother of a 3 year old, and one day while walking with her son, she was randomly attacked and stabbed by a stranger. This story is about the healing and resilience of a family built from love, and the strength with which they face their future challenges together.
In this episode we share the trailer for Crime Scenes and Cupcakes, and hope you will go and check out her podcast as well as Kocktail Kupcakes--MaryAnne has created the most beautiful cupcake following the theme of our podcast!
Thank you for joining us today, and we raise our glass with all of you for a wonderful 2023!
Cheers, Crime Family!
