Hi, Crime Fam, and welcome back to week 68!
This week Bailey takes us to Arkansas for the maddening murder of Beverly Carter, a Realtor who was just trying to satisfy some new clients who wanted one of her listings. Beverly's killers claimed they never meant to hurt her, but when you hear the story, you probably won't believe that any more than we do.
Her family set up a foundation in Beverly's name to help Realtors safer when showing houses. To access educational materials related to safety and situational security for Realtors and other people who make 'house calls', please visit https://beverlycarterfoundation.org/
Beth tells the story of Jayde Logan of Newport, South Wales. In 2020, Jayde was an exceptional young woman, trying to live her best life, when serendipity put her in the crosshairs of an unhinged, jealous woman. This person attacked Jayde with a hammer in the street, in front of many people, leaving her with scars, headaches, and understandable mental trauma.
But Jayde lived, healed, has returned to living her life, and after the head injuries she received, that's a wonder in and of itself.
