Jon Hall, An Active Law Enforcement Officer for 12 years, explains how mental health problems among Law Enforcement Personnel are associated with work environment, agency culture, inconsistent shift scheduling, and presumably higher exposure to traumatic events and subsequent post-traumatic stress disorder. Jon stresses the importance of developing resiliency/calloused minds because of the reality that Law Enforcement Officers are more likely than the general population to suffer from depression, experience familial strife, misuse alcohol, and attempt suicide. Jon shares this in hopes that Officers are not ashamed to seek treatment for any of their Mental Health issues no matter how small or severe it may seem
