Michael Zannitto is a retired Police Officer, a Gulf War Combat Veteran and a Nurse for more than 25 years. During that time he has seen and experienced unspeakable trauma and violence. 20+ years in law enforcement and more than 25 years as an educator teaching both prehospital healthcare and emergency medical training. As a Police Officer, his duties included; Uniformed patrol officer, Terrorism Liaison Officer, Explorer Advisor, Tactical Medic SWAT team, P.O.S.T. CPR/FIRST AID Instructor, Community Policing Officer, Recruitment Team member, Gangs and VICE, Air Support Unit Observer in Airship Operations, Tourist Oriented Policing concepts and juvenile/schools officer and cultural diversity trainings. This bio was taken from Law Enforcement Today. We will speak with Michael about how he not only survived the affects of all that violence but how he lives a full and happy life today. Through his organization PeaceKeepersForLife.org he has turned his attention to helping other first responders and veterans. Also, both Mike's K-9 partner Abrams, his Service Dog, known as "K-9 Patriot" travels the country with Him and the two of Them are National Ambassador to Paws and Warrior and Paws Working Dogs for First Responders and our Military Veterans who suffer from PTSD.
