Things in the Middle East are getting scarier each day. The U.S. joined forces with the UK and conducted an airstrike on the Houthis, who continued to ramp up their attacks on various entities across the region. Ship traffic in that part of the Middle East is getting scarier with each of these attacks. Some carriers have suspended transporting goods into or through the various waterways, waiting for things to "cool down." At the top of the day's news is the leaks of the so-called agreed-upon budgetary deal for this fiscal year's government spending. Apparently, the contents of this proposal do NOT cut spending in any way. In fact, it provides massive dollars to our illegal immigration process without reducing illegal crossings at our border. It would offer massive "permanent" access for illegals to remain in the country while getting automatic work visas, green cards, and even eventual citizenship! This plan was said to include reductions in spending and drastic changes at our southern border that would decrease illegal crossing in great numbers. Whoever gave us that synopsis apparently missed by a mile!
