In this passage, we see how the Christian ought to be discerning on when and how to exercise their freedom in Christ. Paul gives us four warnings on why, at times, we should not exercise our freedom for the sake of others.
- Do not let your freedom cause a brother to stumble (v13)
- Do not let your freedom cause grief to your brother (v14-15)
- Do not let your freedom cause damage to your witness for Christ (v16-19)
- Do not let your freedom cause spiritual harm (v20-23)
