Then it’s on to rumours of Vancouver’s oldest political party announcing a new leader to replace the recently departed John Coupar. That is really going to mess up the plans of some of the mayoral candidates who thought the NPA vote would go to them. Meanwhile, sitting mayor, Kennedy Stewart, is sitting pretty in a likely easy victory for him because the split on the right side of the political spectrum is between four people, and he is all on his own on the let. Over in Victoria, heads rolled in the BC Liberal caucus as one member went one step too far in the climate change denial file and leader Kevin Falcon gave the big boot to the caucus culprit. And in Healthcare, Minister Adrian Dix is predicting a dire fall ahead for all of us as hospitals deal with the potential influx of Covid patients and regular flu patients while also trying to operate with an ever-depleted system in need of an overhaul that does not seem to be coming.
