In this episode we discuss a rethinking of the eternal state in biblical eschatology in which the new earth is our final destination and not heaven as well as the platonic influence on our theology. A few verses which emphasize a renewal of the current creation are Matthew 19:28, Acts 3:21, Colossians 1:20, Ephesians 1:10, 2 Peter 3:13 and Revelation 21:1 which hearken back to Genesis 1:1 and Isaiah 65:17, 66:22.
