True faith is infinitely deeper than an intellectual understanding or belief that God exists. True faith stands firm on the word of God without wavering or doubting that His promises are true, even in the midst of contradictory circumstances, disaster, and evil. This is the essence of pure, Jesus-embodied Christianity. We walk by faith and not by sight and are not moved to fear - even when the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, Ps.46:1-2. In this world, we will face trouble, persecution and tribulation, but in Him, we are more than conquerors for He has overcome the world. As children of the most High God, we are called to be light bearers to a dark world. In Romans 12:21, our command is clear; Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
