Since we have died to sin and since we have been raised to new life in Christ, determine in your heart and make up your mind that you are in fact dead to sin and alive to God. This is the first command in Paul’s letter to the Romans. Six and a half chapters into a 16-chapter letter and we finally hear the words, “You must...” And the nature of the first command? Live your life in light of what God has already done in you. You have been made new. Therefore, live new.
