Karina is originally from Russia, where she studied Information Technology and Economics. She has now been living in Hamburg, Germany, for 6 years. Before that, she founded a start-up in Singapore with some friends from university and lived in Portugal, where she worked on a project collating geospatial data.
Karina's career or projects have always revolved around collecting large amounts of data and creating new information with this data. Communication and curiosity are skills that Karina has always used to be successful and grow her network and career.
Before coming to DataDog, she worked as an evangelist for a company that developed IoT solutions. There she was the interface between external developers and internal product development.
Karina wants young women looking at a career in this field to know that they can always learn the skills required and that there is value in being different from others.
