Description

The December deep freeze continues and its wreaking havoc across on heating systems across many Wake County schools. On Tuesday, students at seven different schools lost valuable instruction time because HVAC systems weren't properly working. The Wake County chapter of the North Carolina Association of Educators says it is planning to ask county commissioners for additional funding for HVAC maintenance and operations. District officials say they are dealing with staffing issues to help them address those necessary repairs. Christina Cole, the President of the Wake County chapter of the North Carolina Association of Educators, joined Jeff Hamlin to discuss what she’s hearing about the problems.
