John Aldrich fondly recalls his 2014 trip to China with former President Jimmy Carter, who passed away on December 29 at age 100. As part of the Carter Center’s efforts to support fair elections in the communist nation, Aldrich witnessed Carter’s enduring commitment to democracy.
