Theory:
A therapeutic theory (often referred to as a therapeutic approach or model) provides a conceptual framework that informs how a therapist understands a client's issues and what strategies might be effective in treating them.
Intervention:
A therapeutic intervention is a specific treatment or action based on a therapeutic theory designed to help a client manage or overcome psychological distress or maladaptive behaviors.
