Description

When you think of the word community, you probably think of a physical place. Your work, your neighborhood, your school.
But, did you know the early use of the word community had a dissimilar meaning?

Here at Bridget, we're huge fans of expanding our vocabulary and becoming better communicators. That is why today, Keshiia breaks down the word community.

Community stems from the Latin prefixes con- (which means "together") and the word munis (which has to do with performing services).

Throughout this episode, you'll hear Keshiia talk about the 5 major types of communities according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, how the definition of this word grew over time to include intangibles, the relationship between community and human connection, what Blue Zones are, and what is so particular about them, and much more!

Asha and Keshiia want to know who you are and where you've been! Come hang out with them on Instagram @meetbridget. They can't wait to chat with you there!
