Tamara Almeida is a bilingual actor and producer born and raised in Toronto, Canada.
Tamara's first big break came when she was cast as Anna in the Hallmark TV movie Entertaining Christmas starring alongside Jodie Sweetin and Brendan Fehr. Since then, Tamara quickly amassed a significant body of work in several film and television productions including Secrets at the Inn (Lifetime), Far Cry 6 (Ubisoft+), Cupids on Beacon Street (Incendo), Revenge
Delivered (Prime Video), Degrassi: Next Class (CTV), Odd Squad (TVOKids/PBSKids), Good Witch (Hallmark), Heroes Reborn (NBC), and Warehouse 13 (SYFY).
She has also produced and co-produced several short films that have gone on to be seen at festivals worldwide. Most recently she starred as Young Grandma Tess in the popular reboot of the beloved children's television series Ghostwriter streaming on
AppleTV+. Her voice has also been featured in multiple animated series including Joe Murray's Let's Go Luna as Maria Mariposa, alongside Judy Greer and Saara Chaudry.
Coming up next, Tamara is set to recur as Maria in the new highly anticipated mission-driven series for kids and families inspired by the work of Dr. Jane Goodall. From Emmy Award winner J.J. Johnson, Sinking Ship Entertainment and the Jane Goodall Institute, Jane follows the story of a 9-year-old budding
environmentalist on a quest to save endangered animals. Using her powerful imagination, Jane takes her best friends and Greybeard the chimpanzee on epic adventures to help protect wild animals all around the world. The show premiered globally on April 14th on Apple TV+.
Other future projects include the new romantic comedy feature What We Do For Love where she stars as the lead Sophie Martinez who secures a job at the famous mediation and wellness firm, and dives headfirst into her new role. However, she finds herself at odds with the company's chief Life Coach who is the son of the firm's President. The film is set to make its premiere this 2023.
