Description

I've been on a journey where I've come to realize just how much fear has been running my life. I remember times early on in my career where something as simple as introducing myself on a conference call was a source of fear for me. My throat would tighten up and I would feel completely stopped by fear. Looking back on those moments now, it seems crazy to me. But that's how my life was back then. I was afraid to face what I was dealing with and what I was faced with. As a father who didn't quite know who he was, I had no concept of who I was and hadn't done the deep work on myself to remove all the things that got in the way of me seeing who I really was. Fear was the thing that literally stopped me from taking action.

And I bet you've already thought of some areas where you're stopped by fear too. Maybe you're afraid of making decisions or having difficult conversations. But one thing I've learned is that fear is actually a massive pointer to areas of our life that could grow and expand from where they are now. Fear is pointing us in a direction of growth and expansion. If we just honor the voice inside of us that's telling us to take action, the one that gives us goosebumps and makes our arm hairs stand up, we can experience massive growth and all kinds of new possibilities.

So my question to you today is, where is fear stopping you from taking action or doing something that you know you should do? Take note of that and go take action. Do it despite your fear. See what's possible on the other side of not being stopped by your fear.

"Fear of others becomes a snare, but the one who trusts in the LORD is safe." Proverbs 29:25
