Today's topic is something that's been heavy on my mind lately, and I want to share it with you all. It's a quote that's been making the rounds: "God doesn't call the qualified, God qualifies the called." I posted it on my Facebook account yesterday because I've been dealing with some difficult emotions within my family and personal life. Balancing my family business and being there for my children and wife has been a challenge, but I know we can get through it because God created us to thrive, not just survive. When we overcome our lower needs and start to see ourselves as God created us, we reach self-actualization, where our focus turns to serve others. Everyone's journey with God is unique, and it's important not to compare our purpose to others. Our calling comes from small, quiet moments that bubble up from within us. So, let's focus on living a life of service and doing what we feel called to do.
I used to think that I wasn't qualified to guide families in creating multi-generational love and connection. I had gone to college several times, but I don't have a college degree. I was worried about not being good enough, being an imposter, and my past. But I followed my calling and began working with families. Within a couple of weeks, they could see the changes in themselves and how they had been showing up at home. I kept going, and people were getting value out of what I was teaching and training on. I was seeing them connect with the people they care about, and I just kept going. Everything I've been through in my life is my qualification, and who I am as a person is my qualification. I'm qualified because I've been called to do what I do. But it wasn't easy. Two summers ago, my wife was in the middle of chemotherapy treatment for cancer, and it was a challenging time. I remember sitting on the beach, asking God what it was going to take for me to have that life. The answer I got was everything. And so I entered into God's Forge, and he continued to work through me. Every coaching call I've taken with the people I work with, every training I put on, is just God working through me. And now, my prayers have started to shift.
