Your host, Ala Kheir, is a Khartoum-based photographer and photography trainer. He co-founded “The Other Vision”, a platform for photography education in Sudan. Ala's guests for this episode are award-winning Algerian photographer Abdo Shanan and Kenyan journalist Wacera Njagi. Abdo is a co-founder of Collective220, a collective for Algerian photographers. Wacera is an editor at Everyday Africa, a collective of photographers working to broaden the perception of Africa beyond the headlines.
