Welcome to Season 4! The start of this season of the podcast coincides with the start of something big at First United Methodist Church Richardson: the Year of Service. This church-wide initiative is a challenge for everyone to explore what it means to serve in new and different ways at home, at work or school, in church, and in the community. It's all about looking past ourselves and joining with others to make a great impact.
To tell us all about this exciting undertaking, we've invited Rohini Drake to join us in the studio this week. She is the Engagement Coordinator at FUMCR, and is currently helping oversee everything having to do with the Year of Service. You'll hear Rohini's story of finding community and purpose at this church, and why she is so passionate about encouraging others to find their purpose through engagement with the community around them.
