Welcome to Part 4 of "Uncoupling the Myth" where Natasha and guests challenge the narrative that non-monogamy destroys relationships. After a recent podcast episode on this very topic, Natasha was flooded with messages—hundreds of people thanking her for validating their relationship choices and lived experiences. That response made it clear: these voices deserve more airtime. So in this series, we're amplifying real stories and offering a more hopeful, grounded, and nuanced view than what you typically hear about. To be clear; as both a relationship and sexuality expert, Natasha is not here to advocate for non-monogamy or monogamy—she's here to advocate for healthy, ethical relationships, no matter what form they take.
Joining Natasha on this episode are Maeve and Seth:
Maeve is an intersex nonbinary person born and raised in Utah county. They served a mission, taught at the MTC, and started a family while attending BYU. They later left the church, got divorced, and now practice solo-polyamory. They are a somatic practitioner and enjoy contact improv and spending time with their partners.
Seth was adopted and raised in the Mormon faith, married shortly after serving a mission, and is raising four children with his wife of 24 years. He is an artist, a project manager, and works with clients using somatic and creative practices to help them create lives filled with personal meaning. Seth and his wife have left the Mormon faith and are now both practicing polyamory to enrich their marriage, and individual lives.
